IAID is the continuation of Indonesia-Africa Forum, which focuses on strengthening collaboration and cooperation in the sector of infrastructure. Details can be found at https://iaid.kemlu.go.id/about/what-is-the-iaid

IAID is going to be held from 20 – 21 August 2019.

IAID is going to be held in Bali, Indonesia. Bali is one of the famous tourism destination island in Indonesia.

The participants of IAID are government officials and business people from African countries and Indonesia.

IAID participation is by invitation from the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in African countries and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

There is no cost for participating at this event.

International flights usually transit at the capital, Jakarta. Therefore, you will need another flight from Jakarta to Bali. However, some international airlines already fly directly to Bali.

Most of African countries do not need visa to enter Indonesia for a short visit (usually 30 days), check your country from this link https://www.indonesia.travel/gb/en/general-information/visa-immigration. However, please make sure whether you need visa by contacting Indonesian Embassy in your country or accredited to your country.

Indonesia’s national currency is Rupiah (Indonesian Rupiah = IDR). The exchange rate normally fluctuates around IDR 14.000 for US$ 1.

Most merchants are willing to accept US Dollars. In case you will need to change into Rupiah, the local currency, there are money changers available at the airport and throughout the city. Credit Cards are also commonly used.

The plug type used is two round pins.

Taxis are widely available in Bali. Renting a car (with a driver) is also another option.
